Blair Witch the game: Trailer

Earlier this year at E3 it was announced that there was a Blair witch game being developed and now we finally have a full trailer, this game comes from the development team at Lionsgate games and looks like it is going to be an absolute Horror classic. The graphics look visually stunning and the AI particularly for you Canine companion in the game is phenomenal, your dog will behave differently depending on how you treat him which in theory could well be a real game changer on how your experience plays out. I think that this actually looks like an excellent game even though I am not a huge fan of the Blair Witch movies and I am certain I will be getting my hands on a copy once it is released but until it comes out feel free to watch this trailer and let us know what you think in the comments section.

Friday 13th Game content suspended

Sadly for fans of the Friday the 13th game all up coming DLC has been suspended for the near future, this comes as no real surprise as the legal battle for the rights to the franchise has been ongoing for years. The franchise has seemingly been bounce back and forth between Warner Bros and Paramount but the original creator Victor Miller claims that he owns the rights to the franchise and wants to claim it back from current owners Warner Bros. Going into a legal battle with a media giant such as WB is no easy feat and this could drag out for a while. This legal battle must be heartbreaking for fans of the game as this official statement was released by game developers Gun earlier this week:

“Friday the 13th: The Game has established a loyal and excited fan base over the last year. As publisher/developer, Gun and IllFonic have made every effort to provide our fans with an authentic and great gaming experience.”

“As many in our community may be aware, a legal claim has been made which could affect all future Friday the 13th intellectual property. Although in the past the game has not been subject to any such claim, new content and material going forward will be affected. An initial decision in this case was expected in October 2017, but no decision has yet been issued. The court review of the legal rights is in process, but final resolution may take some time. Until the claim rights can be dismissed or resolved, no new content can be released.”

“When we originally learned that the game fell within the crosshairs of this legal dispute, we tried to balance the creation of new content requested by our fans against the maintenance and bug fixing that our community expects and deserves. We attempted to do both within the limits of the legal case.”

“We’ve now been forced to accept that the lawsuit makes future content for the game, including alternate play modes, new playable Jasons and Counselors, and new maps, unfeasible now or in the future. Although the listed content types will be affected, we remain committed to launching dedicated servers on our console platforms and providing the continued maintenance and bug fixing important to supporting our fan base.”

“So what does this mean exactly? There will be no additional content added to Friday the 13th: The Game. This includes “Uber Jason”, The Grendel Map, Jason Kill Packs, Clothing, Emotes and new Counselors.”

Resident Evil Biohazard Review

So as many of you know I am a big gamer, unfortunately I spend way to much of my free time playing games. Well this time I at least decided to play something I could Review. Recently I sat down and completed Resident Evil Biohazard and I have to tell you it was easily one of the best survival horror games I have ever played. I grew up playing the Resident Evil series at a very young age and I always enjoyed the mix of horror and action, I also very much enjoyed the puzzle elements of the earlier games in the franchise as they would drag a seemingly short game out for many more hours than it should have taken. I was very happy to see that this particular franchise had decided to keep the puzzle element of their game intact and boy did the shadow box puzzles give me a hard time but I was at first a little apprehensive as I soon realized that it was no longer a Zombie game. I realized this right at the start of the game when you get apprehended by some redneck hillbilly uncle sister types. At first I thought that this was going to be an incredibly bad move on the part of the game makers but as the game went on it turned out to be genius. Jack turns out to be terrifying as he chases you through the halls of the house and a couple of times I about jumped out of my skin as I did not see him coming at all. The whole game is jump scare after jump scare and I do not advise you to play this if you have a weak heart. As of right now I was a little bit of a pansy and played on the easiest setting for the first time so will definitely play through it again on the more difficult settings and from what I hear the harder the setting the more scary it becomes. I am religiously an Xbox gamer so unfortunately did not get to play this game in VR but I can only imagine how terrifying that would be but as an Xbox gamer if you have a decent headset plug it in to play this one as it fully immerses you in the game and the surround sound will really mess you up whilst the chase is on. I highly recommend purchasing this one.

No Outlast 2 DLC, but wait………

Developers of Video game franchise Outlast have this week upset fans by declaring that they will be releasing no DLC for popular Horror game Outlast 2, this comes as a surprise as when the game was originally released it was supposed to get a huge influx of DLC content. However before you get to disheartened about this news; almost immediately after declaring this the developers dropped a huge bombshell. If you haven’t already guessed it by the tone of this article Red Barrel announce Outlast 3, so don’t despair. Surely releasing a whole new game is going to better than some DLC for the older title, right? Sadly this is the only info we have right now and do not know when this may be released but if you are to impatient to wait for the release and need your fix go and get a Nintendo switch as it has also just been confirmed that Outlast One and Two will be making the leap to Nintendo’s new console.
