Gizmo returns

It is no secret that HBO have had an animated Gremlins series in the works for quite some time and although at the moment we do not know a great deal about it  we are none the less excited that it is coming. What we do know however is that it is slated to be released later on this year to HBO’s streaming service and we are starting to feel as this may well be sooner rather than later as HBO announced earlier today that they are renewing it for a second season, they obviously believe in the following that this cult classic has. It is also interesting to note that Mountain Dew just felt the need to reunite Zach Galligan and Gizmo for the first time in 31 years- is this a potential teaser that we could get this series or even another movie in the very near future- we will let you decide but here is the commercial in full and we will keep you up to date with the progress of this franchise as we hear anything.

Cube remake

For years now it seems as though people have been talking about remaking the cult classic Cube from 1997 but it seems that one studio in Japan are finally deciding to go ahead and do just that. The film comes with a certain amount of intrigue as it is even being produced by original director Vincenzo Natali.

Below we have the trailer for the movie and we would love to know what you think about it.

The Japanese Cube remake – directed by Yasuhiko Shimizu – will be released in Japan October 22nd, though no official North American release as of yet. But we’ll keep you updated.

Fangoria Studios

More than fourty years after launching as a horror magazine, Fangoria is taking its scares into new territory as it launches Fangoria Studios.

Fangoria Studios will utilize the Fangoria brands, which also include Starlog and Gorezone, to develop film, TV and podcasts. Circle of Confusion will represent the newly formed studio.

“We’re incredibly excited to begin a new chapter of our 40-plus year old brands to launch Fangoria Studios with our partners at Circle of Confusion. As filmmakers ourselves, our commitment is to expand genre across the world. We want to share original stories with audiences both domestically and internationally,” said owners Tara Ansley and Abhi Goel in a statement.

In the 1980s and 1990s, Fangoria was the must-read publication for articles and scoops from the horror movie scene. In recent years it has revamped as a quarterly publication

The announcement of Fangoria Studios comes after Ansley and Goel acquired Fangoria in August.

At Regoregitated Media we look forward to hearing more from this project and will bring you more news on it as it breaks.

Inauguration Day Announcement

It dawned on me today that I literally have not posted on our site since Election day back in November of 2020, the world did not seem right then to continue with my endeavors- the world felt lost and a fairly bitter place. 2020 was quite the year for many of us, we endured a national pandemic and racial injustice and the country was literally torn apart. This year and especially this day marks a new dawn for the United States of America, a new President and a new chapter. I am hopeful that we can start to rebuild this once great country under the leadership of the new administration and at Regoregitated Media we wish them the best of luck. Even though this is not a political site in any way the timing to make our return seems very appropriate, as I write this I am finally excited about the future again and I feel that in this very New America we can all achieve our dreams and we should not stop working towards these ends. Congratulations on your achievement President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

Over the coming months there will be sweeping changes to our site, I will be looking to rebuild our team and rebrand our legacy. I am looking for a co-host for an audio podcast and also a Horror hosted show (Video), we are always looking for people to showcase as Horror vixens, we also need regular writers and Artists as we look to turn this into a great multimedia site for all of your horror needs. With the pandemic still raging on and the fact that we have been missing our conventions we plan to host our first virtual convention this year and more will follow on these plans. We wish you all the best for 2021 and thank you for your continued support.

Election Day 2020

So today is a huge day in American History, it has been the craziest election year in many years and it culminates today with the general election. At Regoregitated Media we like to stay out of politics and firmly believe that every person in this country has a role to play in electing our President, this country was built on freedom of choice and even if we believe the next person to be wrong they are still entitled to make that decision. This has been a brutal campaign and the country has never been more divided, so through our love of Horror we figured we would offer up some other suitable candidates to lead us into the future and after hours of scouring the inter-webs this is who we came up with. Happy Election day!

  • This is only for fun and should not be taken seriously, what should be taken seriously is your vote. Voting is the only way to make your voice count so remember to get that ballot in and be heard and no matter the outcome remember we are all one nation and must stand together to get this country back on track.

Rapper 50 Cent to team up with Eli Roth

It will probably come as no surprise to most of you that I am in no means a fan of rap, in fact I truly detest it. I am a huge fan of the Horror genre but much like Rap I tend to have a strong distaste for movies that are directed by Eli Roth. I watched all of the Hostel movies and in my humble opinion I just believe this franchise to be a poor excuse to show excessive gore. The story telling in the Hostel franchise leaves a lot to be desired, in a word there is none which makes the plot hard to follow. There is no real character progression and actually I have a hard time remembering any of the characters. I am sure that Mr Roth is a wonderful guy, he comes across as very personable, I just do not see him as the Horror icon that he is portrayed as today.

Well now that my rant is over I can tell you about the latest news out right out of Hollywood regarding the Horror genre. Reports would in fact appear that 5o Cent after conquering both the Rap industry and more recently the small screen with his ABC drama, for life- he now plans to conquer the Horror genre. It would appear that the Rapper has just signed a 3 movie deal to work alongside Eli Roth with indie studio 3BlackDot. As of now there is no information on what these movies may contain but it does not seem as though he is really concerned by controversy and Eli Roth’s resume should tell you the same so it will be very interesting to see what comes of this, although I do not have high expectations of what we can expect. We will keep you posted as this story develops.

Twisted Twins Etsy Store

It has recently come to my attention that the Soska Sisters have an Etsy store and it is loaded with some real gems. Much of the products on there are autographed and would make a great addition to any Horror collectors repertoire, so I strongly advise you to head on over and check it out before everything is gone, like seriously support these awesome ladies during these uncertain times and grab yourselves a real collectors piece.

British Horror Legend dies due to COVID 19

British Horror actress and producer Hilary Heath has sadly died due to complications from COVID 19 at the age of 74. Hilary probably remembered most for her role alongside the Legendary Vincent Price in Witchfinder General is the latest high profile case of this horrible vicious disease that is ravaging this World to end in tragedy. Our hearts go out to her family at this time and we will be paying tribute on this site over the next coming days to pay our respects. Hilary lived a great an productive life working on some high profile Horror films as both actress and producer and in later years transitioned to a career as an addiction counselor, a very commendable calling.

COVID 19 Update

In these difficult, uncertain times we really need to come together as a community. Our people are struggling for finances, being isolated from the World is boring and nobody seems to know when this will end- if at all. The threat of this terrible virus is very real and as people we just want the world to return to some kind of normal.

The community I love, the Horror community are in real hardship at this time and we need to come together and help each other. This site is now going to operate as a Horror hub- I want to be able to build a sense of community in these dark times. I also want to be able to provide some much needed entertainment in this time of crisis.

At Regoregitated Media we are reaching out to anybody who has created something that they feel they can share with the world in this time, we are calling on filmmakers, Artists, Writers or just any creator to join this community and SHARE with your fellow person.

We are also aware of the impact to conventions and film festivals in this time, both organizers and goers are struggling with events getting cancelled so as a community we would like to host some Free or very nominally paid events and also premier content to get people through these times, we will also be featuring affected vendors on our pages as these wonderful people have been adversely affected by this and we want to help as many of them rely on this income to survive- much as we do.

We want to urge you as a people to stick together and follow the guidelines set out by our Government and put trust in the people that are trying to get us through this trying time, we will bounce back but we must stick together.

Finally stay safe and stay healthy- any questions or response to this please feel free to email us at regoregitatedmedia@gmail.com or call me at 269 841 6891

Exclusive Review- Reptile House by Tristan Risk

This weekend I was lucky enough to get treated to a screener of a short film that is about to hit the festival circuit and this one is a real gem. The movie that I am on about is of course the second short film by Canadian film maker; Tristan Risk- Reptile House. Now I have always been a fan of Reptiles and have a great respect for any creature that has the ability to harm you and possibly even end your life, so I entered this one with a genuine intrigue. I am familiar with Miss Risk’s acting as I have seen her in both American Mary and Harvest lake so I knew her acting was on point but this would be a great opportunity to delve into her mind and see how dark it could go- and I was pleasantly surprised. The way the film is shot gives me chills, it is a perfectly dark setting for such a film. The story all be it short is clever and realistic, I actually believe this could happen, it reminded me of some sketchy Craigslist type dealings. The performance of another Canadian in this, Sharai Rewels was captivating and her character work was phenomenal; she played this role to perfection and kept me on the edge of my seat waiting for her to strike like the proverbial “Cobra”. All in all this film was very well put together and was enjoyable to the end, it was amazing to get a glimpse of Tristan Risk’s personal snake collection and even better to tour her mind in this one. However the best part of this movie is it’s ending and I do not mean that in a negative way but that character needs it’s own full length feature, I do not intend to spoil this one so I will not tell you what character I am on about- guess you will have to just see it for yourself. I can’t wait to see what else Tristan Risk has in store for us as she continues to grow in her own productions.

Regoregitated Media will keep you updated on when and where you will able to see this one as we highly advise you see it.

This movie gets 4 out of 5 stars, it lost one purely due to length as it left me wanting to see more-much more.
